– We did what we had to do. We entered the court, to give it our best and we focused on a battle for each point. Both I and Weronika have a lot of energy, besides the fact that we play to win, we also have a lot of fun whilst doing so. We’re happy that as a Polish doubles team we will play in the final of a tournament of such rank. Tomorrow we will enjoy a slower day, we’ll spend it on recuperating and we’ll see you on Sunday! We do what we love, and I think it’s quite obvious. I consider myself a lucky girl – Said Katarzyna Piter.

Tatjana Maria enters the quarter finals of the singles tournament. The German player of Polish descent won in a three set game against a Slovak player Rebecca Sramkova 6:3, 1:6, 6:1.
– It was a tough match with a demanding rival. Rebecca played an impossible game against Karolina Muchova. I tried to concentrate, but in three sets I told myself, that I must fight to the end, for each and every ball. My dad comes from Poland, but he died many years ago. It is an emotional return and a special matter, that I can play here. I dedicate this victory to him and my whole family – said obviously touched Tatjana Maria.
