The first day of BNP Paribas Warsaw Open came to a close. Eliminations are begun and despite the fact no Polish player managed to score the win, there was no shortage of emotions and interesting plays. The fans turned out, which means that Warsaw is ready for tennis on a global level. We were working on the organization of the tournament for many months, which is why we’re happy that the game is on! Of course we’re awaiting the performance of all the Polish players in the tournament singles and doubles, not only Iga Świątek – concluded director of BNP Paribas Warsaw Open Mariusz Fyrstenberg.

Top seed player in the tournament is the leader of the world ranking Iga Świątek, whom will face Nigina Abduraimova in the 1st round, and no 2 Karolína Muchová will play Alaksandra Sasnowicz. The favourites of this meeting are the finalist of this year’s Roland Garros. Weronika Ewald will face off against a qualifier, whereas Maja Chwalińska will face off against Laura Siegemund. This match will begin the fray at the central court Legia Tenis & Golf Monday July 23rd. The game schedule is available in the ORDER OF PLAY tab.  All the Polish qualifiers have already lost their chance to advance in the tournament, and the elimination match results are available HERE.
